geez i love this travel forum! it's such a great resource; useful info, travel tips, what to eat, where to stay, how to get around, ask any questions you want and travelers from around the world will be happy to answer them for you. reading these postings and looking at these beatiful travel pix really make me want to get out there ASAP! been feeling a bit agitated lately. this pitch is driving me crazy! all the competitive charts, media calendar, excel spreadsheets.... the day-to-day job is not very interesting at all. sigh...this place is not for me. i've been here long enough. if it weren't for the Mbassdor network and the global conference coming up in march, i'd probably quit by now. but i still need to save up a little more, and am still waiting for my bonus (if there's any!) in feb.

mom and sis arrived in tokyo today. i was so happy and excited to see them, and probably talked for like 5 hours nonstop! they were surprised that i've got so many things to talk about, and wondered if it's because i don't have anyone to speak chinese with in japan. it's probably true. wish i have more friends in japan who speak chinese. over the past three years english and japanese have become pratically the main languages i use, obviously because most of my friends here are either japanese or americans. i'm still fluent in chinese but sometimes i forget terms like "download" or "extract" (eg.データの出力とか、集計とか..i only know how to say them in japanese and english. when i tried to replace them with chinese, it gets a little funny..抽取資料?? 変だよね?應該是讀取資料吧? 跑資料? ) once in a while i forget simple words like "dryer", "vacuum cleaner", or even animal/ insect names. and i mix up idioms, people's names and stuff like that too. in any case, i'm sure i'll pick it up quickly if i ever move back to taiwan. it's my native language afterall. :p

hmm...woke up at this weird hour at 4am. maybe i should get back to sleep. mom made me sleep early last night coz my cough was getting really bad. damn allergies.

oh btw, TGIF!!
