Golden Week

stayed in all day. didn't do much at all besides watching two movies at home. too tired to go out but the weather was gorgeous. gotta get my butt out there tomorrow-well today actually. the thing is i have trouble getting up in the morning. woke up at 1pm today... what a waste! emailed mike about working/transfering to shanghai. he said it sounds like i am a "valued employee." well, i'm not sure if that's true untill i see the content of the package, which should be arriving in just a couple of days. mike's thinking about changing jobs too. i'm surprised he's actually serious about doing baseball in china, like a professional player or something. should be fun if things do work out. if not, he might be working in finance in taiwan. not a bad plan either.

am not going anywhere for the holidays. too many things to take care of- utillitiy bills, furniture, books, clothes, unpack my stuff from shanghai and repack the stuff i'm shipping home. wish i could find a way to just make things disappear instead of worrying about it all the time. talked to an old friend in new york in the afternoon. he mentioned about seeing this african-american guy lately and things seem to be going pretty well. they met on yahoo personals so i took a quick look at the website and found two guys that sorta matched my preference and are, well, kinda cute. but i'm not bothered to sign up or take any actions. they're in new york anyways. no point. it's just quite amusing to read some of the profiles, things like "i am exceedingly intelligent", yeah right. ok, gotta go to bed now. it's been an exceedingly unproductive day for me. um, but it's golden week afterall -- i think i deserve a nice low-key holiday after all that travelling. good night.
